The Altium Development team are pleased to announce the 18th update for Altium Designer.
This update is a milestone event as it represents over 12 months of development and content delivered to our Subscription customers.
And it is also the first step into Altium Designer 12, visible through new branding that you will see displayed in this update. All users with a valid subscription have immediate access to this new release and can update to it through the Plug-ins and Update page of Altium Designer.
A significant number of enhancements and BugCrunch items are included with this update. Here's a sample of some that we hope will interest you:
STEP model preview:
A visual preview is now available when selecting a 3D STEP model in the PCB or library editors dialog box, which helps browsing through options when embedding a 3D body.
New track selection mode:
A new Select Track command has been added that provides the option of selecting connected track segments on the current layer – in effect, to select connected copper until the layers change or a component pad is encountered. In addition, the Select Physical Connection option has been changed so that tracks covered by a component pad are included in the selection.
Show contents while moving large selections:
Pasting and moving of large schematic selections has been improved so that once rendered, the contents remains visible while placement is made.
These new features were requested through BugCrunch. In total, 22 BugCrunch items have been included in this latest update, along with various other enhancements. Some worth mentioning include:
Revised net violation handling with repeated sheets
Improved junction handling and rendering
Output jobs no longer modify the absolute path when set to use relative path
Output path and log folder path now update with the project name
Numerous FPGA/Embedded enhancements including support for the ST Microelectronics M25P (SPI) family of serial flash devices in embedded designs
Updated localizations for various languages

Accessing the Update
To update your Altium Designer installation, first ensure you are using a license with valid subscription. Proceed to the Plug-in page (DXP >> Plug-ins and Updates) and select “Update All”. If you don’t see the update, use the “Refresh” link in the top right hand corner of the Plugins page.
When you update, you will now experience the improvements that were made to the patching system in Update 17. In particular, you will see the option to select whether you want to update using patches or a full download. This is relevant with this release, as development includes changes to our Run Time Libraries, which requires the majority of modules to be updated. For those users who experience a lengthy update process due to anti-virus programs, using the full download option becomes a much faster process. For more info, see Wiki.
Installation of the updated modules will bring their revision up to 10.1051.23878. The Platform Build number will also update to 10.1051.23878 as the Altium Designer Base module is updated.
Note: If you are using a Private Server license or Standalone license and you have renewed your subscription since activation, you will be required to reactivate your license to obtain this and future updates.
For those who installed directly from DVD, you can access the updates by changing a setting in preferences: System >> Installation Manager, change the Remote Repository Location to http://installation.altium.com
If you are wanting to install a new build containing this update, we have also released a new version of the Altium Installer and Uninstaller. These can be downloaded from the Software page in AltiumLive - download the latest Installer/Uninstaller.

This release focuses on additional enhancements to Altium Designer, with some of the notable inclusions being:
New PCB connection drawing options:
New options have been implemented in the “View Configurations” dialog for "Show All Connections In Single Layer Mode" and "Use Layer Colors For Connection Drawing". Read Wiki information.

Support for Lattice Diamond:
Lattice Diamond software is now supported in Altium Designer for designs targeting Lattice FPGAs. In addition, Lattice iostandard constraints have been improved and are correctly mapped.
Further improvements to 3D Mechanical CAD interfaces in PCB:
Improvements include a change in the STEP file output to use the "Component Suffix" option for the Board Part, and a warning has been added to the PCB IDF Export utility for when it detects an empty component comment.
Support for alternate PDF readers:
Altium Designer will now utilize the default PDF reader for the system, regardless of whether Adobe Reader is installed.

With over 20 new enhancements included in this release, the majority are a result of requests made through BugCrunch and the Forums, as well as through support cases. Please keep the reports coming!

The Altium Development team is pleased to announce the 22nd update for Altium Designer.

This release focuses on additional enhancements to Altium Designer, with the key highlights being:

Delete selected objects:
We have included a new feature in PCB Editor for deleting of selected objects (through the shortcut keys Ctrl+Delete), which then selects adjacent routed objects for further unrouting. When single end-of-route object is selected, Backspace shortcut now deletes selection and auto-selects connected singular route object. Each of these shortcuts can be used in a successive manner to incrementally unwind routed paths.

New module for output of IDF:
This release has the addition of a new plugin “Output - IDF” found in the Output Generators category. This new plugin provides IDF export capability in the OutJob “Export Outputs” section.

Updated FPGA Device and Vendor Tools Support:
Xilinx ISE v14.2 and Lattice Diamond 2.0 are now supported. Ultra and micro fineline ball grid array (UBGA & MBGA) devices have been added to the Altera Cyclone4E Nexus driver.

There are an additional 25 new enhancements included in this release, with many a result of requests made through BugCrunch forum posts and support cases. Full details of this update can be found in the
release notes.

Accessing the Update
To update your Altium Designer installation, first ensure you are using a license with valid subscription. Proceed to the Plug-in page (DXP >> Plug-ins and Updates) and select “Update All”. If you don’t see the update, use the “Refresh” link in the top right hand corner of the Plugins page.

This release includes changes to our Run Time Libraries, which requires the majority of modules to be updated. For those users who experience a lengthy update process due to anti-virus programs, using the full download option becomes a much faster process. For more info, see Wiki.

Installation of the updated modules will bring their revision up to 10.1271.26245. The Platform Build number will also update to 10.1271.26245 as the Altium Designer Base module is updated.

Note: If you are using a Private Server license or Standalone license and you have renewed your subscription since activation, you will be required to reactivate your license to obtain this and future updates.

For those who installed directly from DVD, you can access the updates by changing a setting in preferences: System >> Installation Manager, change the Remote Repository Location to http://installation.altium.com

If you are wanting to install a new build containing this update, the Installer and Uninstaller can be downloaded from the Software page in AltiumLive - download the latest Installer/Uninstaller.

We have included a new feature in PCB Editor for deleting of selected objects (through the shortcut keys Ctrl+Delete), which then selects adjacent routed objects for further unrouting. 1. Сабж уже вылеченный, после установки нет необходимости заменять какие нибудь файлы.
После установки: DXP -> My Account -> Add standalone license file и указать файл из папки Licenses!
2. Licenses:
Содержит 10 Standalone лицензий.
Так же содержит полный набор доктора Пилюлькина для тех кто хочет сгенерировать свои лицензии

!!! Внимание! В этой версии альтиумовцы нахомутали что-то с инсталлятором:
1. При начальной установке доступна только опция Soft Design.
   Поэтому все остальное ручками: DXP -> Plug-ins and updates
2. Косяк с запуском альтиевского апдейтера.
   После выбора изменений (DXP -> Plug-ins and updates) не щелкайте по … changes ready. Click to apply., а закрывайте AD.
   Запустите AD Run as Administrator.
   То же самое после использования ADUpdater-1.7.0.257 (и, наверное, AD-update-1.0.0.15), запустите AD Run as Administrator.

可以安装。你把安装AltiumInstaller.exe文件，放到其它地方，然后加载安装程序文件

Кому нужен распакованый репозитарий, используем «ADRUnpacker —  распаковщик репозитария».
Скачиваем и распаковываем. Имеем папку Altium Designer 10.1377.27009
Линки на скачку [?] 22х100М + 1х71М3.
Внимание! Увижу, что дятлы растаскивают линки по всему Инету, закрою — раздача будет через ПМ.
Как уже писал, произвести апдейт с альтиевского репозитария у меня не вышло: при выборе «Update all» поставились 5 новых модулей, после чего процесс замерз, и новые попытки произвести апдейт ни к чему не привели. Пришлось выкашивать и ставить по новой.
Зато прекрасно обновляется из локального репозитария с предыдущего билда с использованием апдейтера

При новой установке с локального репозитария проблем тоже не обнаружено

Страница описания

1. Сабж уже вылеченный, после установки нет необходимости заменять какие нибудь файлы.
После установки: DXP -> My Account -> Add standalone license file и указать файл из папки Licenses!
2. Licenses содержит:
10 Standalone лицензий;
2 набора (для основного и резервного) для Private License Server. Каждый набор на 100 пользователей
Так же содержит полный набор доктора Пилюлькина для тех кто хочет сгенерировать свои лицензии
(включая Floating для Private License Server)  — читайте «Лечение Altium Designer.pdf»
Подпапка Templates содержит шаблоны для генерации лицензий:
   Altium 2013 SN-1300001 (V4NL-XACC) Standalone.ini
   Altium 2013 SN-1301001 (V4NL-XACC) Server Primary.ini
   Altium 2013 SN-1301001 (V4NL-XACC) Server Secondary.ini
   Altium 2013 Viewer SN-1300101 (V4NL-XACC) Standalone.ini
3. Private License Server 9.0.0.17655:
Помогает, если в сети более 1-й установки.

Кому нужен распакованый репозитарий, используем «ADRUnpacker —  распаковщик репозитария».

Скачиваем и распаковываем. Имеем папку AD2013 13.1.2 (10.1570.27559)
Линки на скачку [?] 29х100М + 1х90М9.
Внимание! Увижу, что дятлы растаскивают линки по всему Инету, закрою — раздача будет через ПМ.

С установкой с DVD, похоже, та же жопа

По окончании установки от некоторых модулей остаются хвосты — папки uzip. Я насчитал таких 104 после установки всех модулей!

С DVD (образа DVD) установка не произойдет!.
Если вы используете распакованный репозитарий

При установке с DVD (образа DVD) в конце инсталляции вываливается ошибка и процесс замерзает!
Т.е., текущую версию невозможно установить с DVD!
Установка дополнительных модулей

Если вы выбрали большое количество добавляемых модулей, в ответ на запрос «Когда установить» выбирайте «позже» и перезапустите Altium.

Если же запустить установку из Altium, 50 на 50 установка завершится с ошибкой!
